Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently run equipment and machines used in seafood processing, including cutting, sorting, packing, and sealing machines.
  • Inspect seafood for quality standards, removing any substandard items or contaminants.
  • Follow strict hygiene practices, including wearing personal protective equipment and cleaning work areas and tools regularly.
  • Safely load, unload, and handle seafood products in various stages of processing, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste.
  • Record relevant data on product output, quality checks, and other production metrics.
  • Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and quality control staff to meet production targets.

Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy loads (subject to job specifics), and perform repetitive tasks.
  • High level of accuracy in following processing protocols and quality standards.
  • Willingness to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including adherence to company hygiene policies.
  • Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and sanitation regulations is helpful.
  • Availability for different shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime, as needed by production demands.
